Avispa Fukuoka
is a Japanese professional association football, football club based in Hakata-ku, Fukuoka, Hakata, Fukuoka. They currently compete in the J1 League, which is the top tier of football in the country. History Earlier years in Fujieda The club were originally based in Fujieda, Shizuoka and was founded as Chūō Bōhan SC in 1982 by the workers of security company Chuo Bohan in Fujieda, Shizuoka. They were promoted to the Japan Soccer League Division 2 in 1991. The club then participated in the newly founded Japan Football League (1992–1998), former Japan Football League Division 2 in 1992 and were promoted to Division 1 in 1993. They changed their name to Fujieda Blux with intention to be a J.League member. However, with difficulties to have a stadium that met J.League requirements, and with local competition from Júbilo Iwata and Shimizu S-Pulse, the football fan base in Shizuoka prefecture was already considered saturated. Shigetoshi Hasebe
is a former Japanese football player and manager. He is the current manager of Avispa Fukuoka. Playing career Hasebe was born in Yokohama on April 23, 1971. After graduating from Chuo University, he joined Verdy Kawasaki in 1994. He played many matches as a central midfielder and the club won the championship in 1994 J1 League. However his opportunity to play decreased from 1996 and he moved to Japan Football League club Kawasaki Frontale in August 1997. He played many matches at Frontale in 1997 and he moved to Vissel Kobe in 1998. He wore the number 10 shirt for the club and played as central player of the club. In 2001, he moved to JEF United Ichihara and he played many matches. However he struggled to make the first team in 2003 and he left the club in July. Coaching career After retiring, in 2006 Hasebe became a coach of Vissel Kobe youth team. In 2011, he became the coach of the first team.
